many will be stuck in thailand  not able to get home.many of my friend maybe struck in asia now.lockdown in thailand must be not far away now

Who wants to go back when there is no food on the shelves?

Online shopping, queue no 8450...

Even then, no chance to get it due to shortage of drivers and other staff.

Anyone considering the reports about the latest UK legislation (specifically references to UK closing airports) might want to read this:

"enable the Home Secretary to request that port and airport operators temporarily close and suspend operations if Border Force staff shortages result in a real and significant threat to the UK’s border security. This is to ensure the UK can maintain adequate border security throughout the pandemic and protect the public from the threat of criminality or importation of prohibited items that could result from an inadequately controlled border. This would only be used in extremis, where necessary and proportionate, and any direction will be kept to the minimum period necessary to maintain the security of the UK border"

UKs main concern, with regard to returning nationals, is that airlines will stop flying and/or other countries will shut their airports.

I’m at the airport now. Looks like a busy flight back to UK but airport dead in departures and straight through.

Also asking people to wear a mask which I would say only around 50% of foreigners are respecting.

You need to think about when Thailand reaches that same point ,and it will, and you are a derided farang in a mismanaged country  perhaps trying to access medical care and difficulty with your insurers if you have any.

Yeah despicable bastards, this will be remembered Thai tourism is washed up. Let them stick with the Chinese and super rich Indians that never showed up. ????????????????

Is the British Embassy going to help by giving letters for visa extensions or will they just swerve that?

No mention in the post...

Despite of the Corona Virus spread and deadly effect, there are still international flights to Europe? Any precautionary measure?
