Interesting idea - since once I was barred from leaving the country by the court, yet still incurred overstay at immigration.

A court barred you from leaving?  What did you do (or what were you alleged to have done) to get such a punishment?

So during the day the virus doesn't spread instead? Useless misures

There is now way to stop the virus here anymore, they are 2 months late and these measures will just help business to go bankrupt, or you close everything or nothing. Stay healthy and be ready to get it.

I got 7 day extension for 1900 baht. Now my options:

1. to leave the country if possible

2. hope for the change of policy by immigration and reapply for another extension in 7 days. Or be granted an automatic extension with everybody else (the best but unlikely scenario).

3. an overstay for not more than 90 days. Quite risky in the current unpredictable situation.

- no punishment, an old woman ran into me when I was on my bike. Even though I'd already stopped, it happened in a soi, so the vehicle is always wrong. In the end I only got a 4000 baht fine, but once you're waiting for an appearance you cannot cross borders, and immigration wouldn't do anything to help.

As I mentioned in another thread, what I heard was there will be a curfew from 7pm to 7am when they want you to stay indoors. No gathering in groups. Certain roads/routes might be closed. Mandatory to wear masks in certain areas. The full details to be released tomorrow (March 25).

This isn't how my wife tells the story of the Airport Link virus line at rush hour ..... I can only hope they enforce this but I am doubtful to say the least

I wonder what happens when there are more than 3 passengers for every BTS wagon? That distancing game will surely be much more difficult to play then.

Not all of them hehe

I went for a 30 day extension this morning, arrived at immigration at about 10:30am I was out before 11:00am

About 15 people for various things in the immigration office.

Can I go and get a TM 30 to show I have a home ? ????

The emergency powers will allow them to go around checking people are complying with restrictions.

Hazard a guess they will also check your TM30 to ensure you are staying at the registered address,
and that you have not been travelling around which is not allowed.

Easy pickings.

If you can get your visa extension and multi entry ASAP as who knows what they might bring in. I got mine done last week, thank God, although it's not due until next month. Stay safe.

this has been a problem since all these experts started saying you should make sure you adhere to social distancing ... up until this week the trains were absolutely jammed during rush hours with people going and coming from work. Wife says its not as bad this week but still not ideal

It would be helpful if you nominated which IO you went to, as your post is fairly useless without that information.

Closing the stable doors after the horse has bolted as usual.

Many hundreds of Thai living in Isaan, working in Bangkok starting travelling back to their home villages days ago when the bars, clubs, and entertainment venues were closed.

Some villages were having parties to welcome home their relatives - chuffing crazy!

So Article 44 is back in play, under a different name ??

No, it´s not. This is something that a government can impose in almost every country in the world. Totally different. You should be happy that they try to do something instead.
