Popular Post mberbae
So - let's have a Shopping Time set for 1pm to 3pm. 20 million people will converge on BIG C or TESCO. Popular Post SupermarineS6B
Personally i've never been worried about the "Virus", i'm more concerned about the powers that pretend to be and their increasingly dangerous decisions........ I can foresee a total lockdown and this lot forgetting that people need food and water....... Mind you, they're ok so that's all that matters...... I've seen some real tubes this last couple of years as far as politicians and leaders go, but talk about the true colours coming out..... Let's see who runs away first........ recom273
From past experience, it’s going to be a mess, but we need to accept it as much as we don’t like it. Something needs to be done as people, sorry to say locals, just don’t understand. The damage has already been done when the masses were given the warning that something like this was coming and they all headed home, back to their village. I’m prepared - but not forever. I am not looking forward to my 90 day report, a possible house visit for a visa extension and the stupid ideas about limiting shopping times, let’s see what a cluster f it is after the announcement.
jwbrit
The Thai government don't understand what they are dealing with or what they are doing. Although most people may ultimately get the virus, the point is to try and stop many people getting the virus at the same time (aka, flatten the curve). Since people can make other people sick, common sense alone will tell you, stay away from other people as much as possible.
recom273
1 hour ago, BobinBKK said: It is rather a pointless idea because you can simply download the app and not carry the phone with you. Many people have more than one phone so you can download the app on one phone for "show" and your second phone can be used to "go". Understand? A little while back the government were offering a 1000b incentive for locals to go on holiday in Thailand, a promote Thailand for Thai people idea. You needed to register on this phone app, most of the population were glued to the clock, so at 2.00 am they would enter their details and claim the money. It seems that every night the servers crashed, and the nightly allowance was all gone within a short space of time. These people live in some alternative reality where smartphones will be the answer to all their control ideas. The Chinese can do it, to a certain extent, but through a combination of facial recognition, financial transactions and also a massive amount of human data entry. I seriously doubt our man is waiting for 2 days after announcing so that his team can build a mobile phone app.

Popular Post ravip
Why not all the TVF experts call a meeting, decide how to save Thailand from the COVID-19 and propose to the Thai government to let them handle the situation? Just wasting time behind a keyboard hammering away insults 24x7 is just wasting your very valuable time and expertise, isn't it? By the way, how many countries have these top TVF experts saved from disasters up until now? Any statistics available? 1 1 1

Popular Post theoldgit
The measures will include requirement for passengers to be seated at a proper distance between them, wearing of face masks, taking of temperature and frequent checks at check-points. Only wear a mask if you are ill with COVID-19 symptoms (especially coughing) or looking after someone who may have COVID-19. Disposable face mask can only be used once. If you are not ill or looking after someone who is ill then you are wasting a mask. There is a world-wide shortage of masks, so WHO urges people to use masks wisely. WHO advises rational use of medical masks to avoid unnecessary wastage of precious resources and mis-use of masks (see Advice on the use of masks). The most effective ways to protect yourself and others against COVID-19 are to frequently clean your hands, cover your cough with the bend of elbow or tissue and maintain a distance of at least 1 meter (3 feet) from people who are coughing or sneezing. See basic protective measures against the new coronavirus for more information. 2 1

Already those who work are impacted with some having no income at all. I agree with the suggestion of a 24 hours curfew but why has the UK, Australian and Canadian Governments been allowed to operate the VFS Bio Metric Data collection Centre in Bangkok? There is no need for them to remain open and they are a serious risk to public heath and safety and the transmission of the Virus. (Mixed messages in the proposed 5PM to 12MIDNIGHT 7PM 7AM curfews) Is the virus only active during these hours? Shoes are the other main concern. We should have trays of disinfectant available to step in when entering a condo - Remove shoes at the door. Here in Oz like many other countries we are on verge of economic collapse and forced shutdowns is equating to massive unemployment and massive loss of investments. People crying everywhere. Suicides WILL spike 100% for sure. That's why it is so damn important people don't F&$% around and ignore directives for social distancing, masks, washing hands, don't be stupid and cough into your hands - into your elbow and don't touch unnecessary things and don't blood touch your damn face. And stay home unless you have to go out. Just do the right thing. Don't get infected and then go on to infect old and vulnerable and kill them. People don't be a cocky idiot defying directives etc. Don't be a 'COVIDIOT' Drop the infection curve and governments will start to wind back shutdowns and we can try to salvage the damage. Ignore it and shutdowns will get worse and worse and economy will be much much worse than GFC and even the Great Depression. Suicides were big then.
