People travelling via the Ta Sab district checkpoint in Yala province must take a thermo-scan to check if there is any person with body temperature over 37.5 degrees Celsius.

Every traveller is checked twice with the thermo-scanner.

The monitoring is a joint effort involving the police, Public Health officials and the Department of Land Transport officers to prevent the spread of coronavirus that has infected over 1,000 people in Thailand.

Have they heard about the 2 weeks incubation period? No fever showing, even though you are infected......

And what about the virus being transmitted through eyes? Shouldn't the officers wear "splash guards"?

Otherwise if they get infected, they can transmit disease to every driver that they check.

There are other options to die in Yala than Covid.

Waiting for more reports of checkpoints at other province borders.

Only read about Bangkok and now Yala.

Social distancing 2 metres!  No we are immune! Crazy! They could be spreading the virus not stopping it! If they must test for fever, they should have the sensor on a stick, at least 1 metre long, which, together with the length of the arm should be just about far enough away for the recommended separation distance!

A large percentage of Covid patients don't develop high fever. Many reports no fever or temperature lower than 37.2 ????

The temperature checks are the Governments "Placebo"

The first 10 days of incubation there is no temperature gain but you still are a carrier

Plan to restrict travel to "essentiaL should be put in place.

Visiting friends & family is NOT on the list

Gastroenteritis gives you a mild fever too, so you reckon they'd let me go if I produced a sample right on the spot.
