Go to your username on the right hand side and click account settings. 

 

    Then click on e-mails and untick the boxes that you don't want to be notified. 

  

why just not tick/untick any of the required checkboxes in your TV notifications settings??

 

then make things more complete;

 -  by also 'UnFollowing' each and every Thread you have Created/Responded to...

actually there is a simpler method...

 

create a standalone one off new Gmail.com account.

 

Have all Notifications sent to 'that' Gmail address

 

Tear Up/Bury/Burn the Password for that Gmail acct... as you would never need to ever access it (or its Inbox) ever again. 

 

 

 

In the email, next to the email address of the sender is an unsubscribe button. At least there is with gmail
