UK Boris Johnson tests positive

Featured Replies

I see nothing online.

But, CNBC US business channel just announced Mr. Johnson has tested positive for Corona.

It is online now also.

If Boris is infected, it probably means everyone in the cabinet around him is infected

Now that is not good

I didn't see it in English language news but saw it in a few of European media outfits. He says he'll continue working through video conferences.

Apparently he started feeling tired and had mild symptoms, got tested and was found positive. He's got fever and cough. Else he's OK, according to that news outlets.

Anyone meeting people all day long must be really exposed, he and the cabinet are all quite healthy, no diabetes or health problems mentioned before anyway

Hope you don't have to apply for universal credit Boris I was 105,597th in the queue so no pushing in first payment due on the 30th of April after the telephone call and habitual residence test next week ????

I am not British, but certainly do not like seeing any person, especially a country leader get it.

Hope he takes care and recovers healthy.

Some of you people need to get with the times. Why are you searching for news stories about it when he posted it on his own Twitter page?

He's leading from the front in the UK stampede to herd immunity.

No surprise really given how he had to mingle with people .. Only earlier this week the podiums were close to each other at his press conferences so the alarm bells will be ringing about whether the Chief Scientific and Medical officers and Chancellor who have all conducted conferences with him recently may also now be infected ..

I was just going to mention "leading from the front". No one can accuse him of sitting in an isolated, secure location avoiding infection, while asking everyone else to sacrifice.

Mirror newspaper says he has mild symptoms.  I guess most people with mild symptoms would not even be tested.

Hope he stays out of hospital, and leaves the over-worked medics for the vulnerable people who have serious symptoms.

Herd immunity he said.

At least he put his health where his mouth is.

If herd immunity succeeds then the British economy will come out much stronger than other countries who have to keep locking the population away every time the virus makes a comeback.

Thank God Labour did not win the election - imagine the madness now with that crazy bench.

We live in hope.

And the one person Boris and Charles meet often is the Queen. How long before she gets it if she hasn't already. Worrying times.
