So apparently, Thailand cannot send any surface mail to Australia and New Zealand. By "surface", they seem to mean any physical mail, even by air. Does anybody know anything about this?

Where does your "information" come from?

There are some threads already of the factual shutdown of mail services to most parts of the world. Another headache for those who expect/have to send important stuff.

Thanks everyone. So I'm taking it mail by ship is the only thing allowed? Somehow I don't think that will reach Oz this year...

Now seem's to be a good time for a lot imported Mail to be Copied and allowed to send by E Mail . 

If not there are going to be problems for some people ( me included) that are suppose to Send Original Singed stamped Documents by Post to Keep getting Their Pension and to Prove Once a year that they are Still Alive. 

Thank goodness surface mails shipping from the harbor of Switzerland is still allowed!
