Featured Replies

During curfew the police/authorities have broad powers to search and it could be up to the arriving officers how to handle.  Of course, this isn't really the time for 'house-party'.  As usual, you should try to put yourself in their shoes - be it the party goers or police, and just try to be nice during these stressful times.

"in case the police arrive"? Call them yourself. This is exactly how the disease persists. You may save some lives.

  • Therefore, with the police breaking up even private parties, it is getting increasingly more difficult to get oneself contaminated deliberately with SARS-CoV-2 in Thailand. Strange, though, that some

So damn simple.

Isolate means isolate, isolate.

Because we are people not sheep? unfortunately many seem to have crossed the line between being decent humans and utter ar$eholes!

Appears we are no longer able to live in a responsible caring empathetic society, next thing we will have is "pestilence" bringing society to its knees, appears to be justified?

I suspect very few monks have any real knowledge about all of this.

Obviously wrong, stupid and completely self centred people oblivious to the needs of the world beyond their circle.

That said - the in-laws went to a ‘prayer’ event (or whatever its called)... Monks and a number of relatives in the same room, chanting praying, you know the sort of thing (probably about 20ppl in total...  My Wife was dumfounded and had quite the argument with her folks when she found out.

But what on earth are the Monks doing going to this thing in the first place. What on earth was ‘auntie’ doing organising this thing...  the mind boggles - its not as if they can miss the news.

But TIT.  Therefore they can decide which laws apply to them and they chose not to comply with this one. Or just stupid.  You decide.

It fascinates me that people sit there, sometimes for hours, listening to monks chanting while not understanding a word of what is being said. Quite extraordinary.

Catholics did this for a long time, listening to much of the mass in Latin, prior to modern revisions. Pali is the Latin of Buddhism. I suppose in both cases, not knowing what's being said, you just sort of listen and meditate, and get transported to a different place.

If you are not practicing Social Distancing you are endangering yourself and others.

Please understand this is serious sh_t.

The country, the world, is going to look different after this.

There are over 1,000 different Coronaviruses in animals. Countries have to get their acts together and be prepared for future viruses.
