Opinion: When Will Schools Go Back?

Featured Replies

Title says it all. I know it can only be merely speculation. But if you were to hazard an educated guess. When will schools go back? And Why?

When you tell me, how long is a piece of string?

My daughter's International School sent out emails informing us that online teaching will be used until the end of this calendar year.  I won't post the school name.  I would assume all International Schools will follow.

If you have a child/children in an International school just ask them.

The end of the academic year or calendar year? Surely they can't close until 2021?

wanna bet?

not forever obviously, but I reckon 2021 is possible, depending on events and vaccine break throughs. I wouldn't be surprised if 'plan B' gets put into trial this time next year if there is no hope for vaccinations or containment of the virus.

plan B? yes, interesting, scary.... goes along the path of the Spanish flu...

just an opinion of course, as requested by OP...

Next year would be incredible. Would see a lot of teachers let go...

treat yourself to a holiday. a forced holiday. welcome to the club.

China with a full lockdown took three months befor they started getting back to normality and Italy are still dropping like  flies after two months...haven't even started here so August at earliest

Singapore is now all home based online schooling, obviously due to the situation.

I can imagine this might become an option in the future for people as standard.

There are a lot of changes going to happen as a result of a "little" bug !!
