"Tourists" lining up for free food and people who criticise that accused of discrimination? Thai embassies and consulates *should* discriminate between those who can afford to visit Thailand and those who can't. Don't these people travel with cards that an ATM would accept? Do they have no one who can wire money to them? Why are they engaged in global tourism then? What are they? Begpackers? I wouldn't be surprised if many of the "tourists" in these food lines--in Phuket, Bangkok & Pattaya--are of the brokedick expat variety.  COVID-19 is the best thing to ever happen to them. Free food and the excuse that they can't go home because the country is on lockdown. It's shameless enough to live on handouts in your own country but in a developing country, where there are people who are genuinely poor? Shameless beyond belief.
