Staff at a Songkhla hotel are preparing the place to welcome Thais who will return from Malaysia via the Sadao checkpoint from Saturday (April 18) onwards.

The M SOHO Danok Hotel in Samnak Kham Subdistrict, Sadao District, will be used to quarantine returnees for 14 days to monitor their symptoms and prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Authorities expect 300 of the estimated 3,400 Thais stranded in Malaysia will gradually return via four Thailand-Malaysia border checkpoints, starting on Saturday.

Returnees must show a letter from a Thai embassy or consulate, and medical certificate issued in the past 72 hours, to enter the country.

Might be better advised to spread the returnees over several hotels. We've seen what happens in cruise ships and foreign workers hostels.

Great , what about if a few don't show any symptoms and Have the Wuhan Flu.After 14 days they get let loose and can infect Hundreds of people.

They are tested before being let out of quarantine
