Thousands of Muay Thai fighters have been left out of work by the coronavirus
 

Training in masks, two metres apart, Thailand’s professional fighters are battling a new reality — shuttered gyms and cancelled tournaments after the coronavirus pandemic left them suddenly out of work.

 

Thailand’s brutal version of boxing, Muay Thai, features jabs, punches and kicks, with striking techniques using shins, knees and elbows.

 

But Thailand’s strict social-distancing rules mean former world champion Sarawut Prohmsut can only mime arm-blocks to a sparring partner jabbing at him from distance as they train in Bangkok.

Test both fighters and trainers...if all clear they are good to go....for training...

UFC in the US has signaled they are prepared to resume fights...protecting and testing their fighters.

 

Surely something could be worked out to put these fighters back in the ring in a sensible country...

Fight island for ufc. Make money via tv. Do the same.

 

You cannot let the totalitarians win. We didnt fight in 1939 to 1945 for notjing.

It's the same restrictions here for junior tennis players. On tennis courts they play with 20 meters between them. I do agree that there are no tournaments with an audience, but players should be able to practice.

What ? they call that Brutal? Kinder garden Play more likely .normal boxing and MMA UFC beat them anytime before they know what Hit them .
