Medical staff of Sa Kaeo Crown Prince Hospital led by hospital director Dr Surasit Jitpitak on Friday (April 17) bid farewell to the last Covid-19 patient who was treated at the hospital, as he had fully recovered.

Hospital staff also stood in a line to applaud and offer flowers to the patient as well as doctors and nurses to acknowledge their hard work in the last few weeks.

The patient, a local of Wattana Nakhon district, was ordered to be in self-quarantine at home for another 14 days and monitor his health closely. He was the last patient under treatment in the province, and his recovery means Sa Kaeo currently has zero active cases of Covid-19. The accumulated number of confirmed cases in the province stands at 10.

Sa Kaeo public health officer Dr Supphachoke Wetchaphesat said that in the past 14 days there had been no new Covid-19 case in the province.

“We would like to thank all medical staff for their hard work and the public for adhering to measures announced by the Ministry of Public Health to prevent the spread of the virus,” he said. “Please keep up the good work until the situation returns to normal.”

Good for him!

With the only covid-19 patient discharged, the hospital can go back to dealing with all those cases of pneumonia that have been popping-up lately!
