Ikea deliveries from Bangkok

Featured Replies

Some time ago I saw a post about a delivery service from Ikea to Chiang Mai for 10% of the cost of the item. Can't find the post now so does anyone know of such a service and how to get in touch with them?

An alternative method to search a website forum is to use Google Search:

site:thaivisa.com ikea deliveries

This found the following recent thread:

We have had many items delivered by IKEA Bangkok to Chiang Mai. IKEA has it's own delivery service. We had an entire kitchen (66 packages) delivered for 570 baht total. 570 baht is the promotional price for delivery by truck until June 30? I believe.

After that it is 2000 baht, regular price.

However, if you only order smaller items they will deliver by courier for a much smaller fee, <200 baht.

Smaller being bedding, pillows, smaller furniture items. We ordered a 60cm x 60cm cabinet and it came by courier for 160 baht.

You can shop online for most items at IKEA and at checkout you can choose your delivery method. About 2 - 4 days to arrive. Check www.ikea.co.th

So they have finally moved into the 21st century allowing online payments ?  previously you had to pay in the store in Bangkok not much good when you live in Chaingmai !
