As another poster has said, you are not in Kansas, Dorothy. You're in Asia, where women can be picked up off the street or from a bar and persuaded to perform for a video for the equivalent of a hundred dollars. It's the film makers that haul in the big bucks.

You may be right about there being a few elite escorts. However, the majority of sex workers are from impoverished areas in Thailand such as Issan that have been sent by their families to work in the sex capitals of Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket to make ends meet. Frequently they will have a child looked after by the family back there. The sideline girls paying their university fees by an arrangement with a Thai sugar daddy are certainly not getting 1 million baht/week, more likely 10 - 20K baht/month.

I checked out the law at one stage and from memory its not illegal to film sex but its illegal to profit from it. Im not sure about the room entry, whether thai police need a search warrant to enter a room. But in thialand the police make up the laws as they go along so theres always a risk
