BMW 2 or X1?

I've always wanted a BMW.

 

I like the look of the BMW2 and the price seems reasonable. I was previously thinking of the X1 as it has more room but I would seldom need it and it doesn't look as good.

At the moment I have a Mazda CX3 which has done me well over the last 3 years in terms of size and I also love its look and handling. 

I have 2 teenage kids. 

Which would you go for and why?

I'd go 2 door coupe even though I should go 4 door SUV because of kids.????

I think so. I went CX3 rather than CX5 or Honda HRV, boring family car.

My youngest son in UK likes BMs he had a 320d for years and has just changed to a M140i which has one of the best engines BM has produced..
