Crime Chinese & Thai Nationals Arrested for Armed Robbery of Chinese Businessman in Pattaya
UPDATE Chinese Gang Boss Caught at Suvarnabhumi While Fleeing to Cambodia Picture courtesy of พัทยา จุดเกิดเหตุ Immigration Police have arrested a Chinese national, Hao Yong, at Suvarnabhumi Airport on the evening of 12 July, as he attempted to flee to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, after allegedly masterminding the abduction and extortion of a fellow Chinese businessman in central Pattaya. Authorities revealed that Hao, fully aware of an arrest warrant issued against him, had arranged for a friend in Cambodia to book his outbound flight in a desperate bid to escape justice. However, immigration officers intercepted him before he could board his flight. Following the arrest, Hao was handed over to Pattaya City Police Station, where Pol. Col. Anek Srathongyu, Superintendent of Pattaya Police, together with Pol. Col. Natthaphong Khositsuriyamanee, Superintendent of Chonburi Immigration, and an investigative team immediately began their interrogation. As of initial questioning, Hao continues to deny all charges. The arrest marks a development in the ongoing investigation into a violent incident, involving a group posing as police officers to kidnap and extort a Chinese national. I'm worried I might have cancer. But, don't ask me why. Do you worry about this, too?
I vote this sentence the best sentence of the decade. Let's all take note, and keep this in mind. Still, let's also keep in mind that this is the definition of anxiety. Mother's little helpers were born of this type of anxiety. Maybe, we should all go back to the bush....? While in the bush, we worried less about the nebulous.... Give me a tiger, any day. -

Crime Crackdown on Koh Phangan: Foreigners Detained for Overstaying Visas
This is what I said,.............."No, the only way anyone can know about anyone here is to know them personally, and then you only know a little. Anything more is assumptions."............Then you said,.............." you resort to the classiccliche - ‘Unless you’re the police, you can’t possibly know anything.’............"Then I said,...."I didn't say because you're not the police you couldn't know anything. You might personally know one or two foreigners that are here overstaying or bribing officers to stay"...............You said I resort to the classic cliche, unless you're the police, you can't possibly know anything. Your words, not mine. Read it again. Your statement.................,"THey need to clean up all the Samui archipelago - there are dozens of foeireigners either over staying or on illegal visas, working without permits, bribing local police etc etc Ex military are the worst to blame".................. You exaggerate quite often on this forum. You don't know that dozens are staying illegally here. That's your assumption. You quoted yourself.- 1
