My friend in Pattaya has said stores have implemented rules for entry. Scanning your smartphone and signing in and out. New World Order stuff. I was wondering if anyone has recently visited Makro here in CR and what rules are in place. Last month it was just washing hands and temperature being taken. Thanks.

Almost all malls have such requirement now - but normally it is optional or you have alternate to list your name/number on ledger.  The purpose is if covid is found they can contact those in store at same time and provide checks.

They were doing it at Big C and Central yesterday, Big C was also taking names and phone numbers.

It wasn't a great success, one guy at Big C was holding up the queue because he couldn't get his phone to scan the thingy and in the end we were waved past to the temperature check station.

Central seemed to have given up on it completely.

Thumbs up, even in Thailand there are people with a brain who see the uselessness behind this procedure.
