Lion Air down already?

Featured Replies

Few months ago I booked with Lion Air a round trip ticket to Bali for April. Of course Covid was there and flights were suspended. After a chat with Lion Air office, my ticket would be refunded in 45 days.  Now 50 days are gone, their contact number in Bangkok dont work anymore..

Anyone has any news about possible bankruptcy ?

Don't think anyone will be getting money back (or even credit).

Not Thai Airways, not Air Asia either.

Still flying a week ago, bringing Thais back, but quiet since.

Had return tickets from Chiang Mai to Cape Town via Singapore on March 28 and return leg  April 13.. All flights were cancelled. I had a flight on Scoot airlines from CM to SIN, All money was fully refunded.

However Singapore airlines from SIN to CPT asked me to change the ticket date for free, but no refund was to be given. This is fine as I still need to go, but I agree with you. Many airlines will struggle to give everyone a refund.

I think I was quite lucky with this outcome.
