As long as his one trick is getting us out of the eu,that,'ll do me.

It will; but, apart from selling out the people of Northern Ireland, do not be surprised when Cummings' deal turns out to be to all intents and purposes identical to May's.

But this is not a Brexit topic; happy to discuss this further in a  topic on that subject if you wish.

And then we have a 'genius' who alters his blog retrospectively to try and make himself look like a genius. How stupid is that ! And from someone who claims to be a digital genius to boot. ???? He gamed social media in the brief window when anyone with a bit of savvy could have done it , and err that's it and Johnson has nailed his flag to this pile of preposterous piffle.

As usual, The Daily Mash have hit the spot on this: Cummings changes blog to say he guessed the twist in The Sixth Sense

(Warning, just in case there's someone here who hasn't seen it, the above link contains a massive Sixth Sense spoiler!)

Really illustrates the difference between Thailand, which is a collective society, and the UK, where individuals can do what the f#@k they want. Certain people excluded, priviliges of rank, and all that.

Good lord, no wonder Brexit won, when such badly informed, palpably toxic nonsense is considered as rational discourse. I am actually laughing because I know that my country, while inevitably battered by this stupidity, won't be dragged down that black hole you are praying for. But there are many good, decent English people who deserve so much better from their government now and for their and their children's future. It is, of course, a shame but if you elect lying, corrupt fascists, you have to expect a lying, corrupt dictatorship.

I don't know why you engage with them tbh RR. Let them have their nonsensical jollies. Most unionist Scots are a cut above our home grown nationalists. They will learn soon enough what side their bread is buttered on when it no longer is.

A majority is greater than 50%

So if 50.00000000000000000000000000000000000000001% had voted for the Tories then they would have received the majority of votes.

Well there you go. This is exactly how Dom brought us a Leave victory in the referendum.

While conveniently overlooking the fact that;

a) She is an elected MP whereas Cummings is employed under entirely different terms and conditions and the 'failsafes' associated with whatever employment law those T&Cs adhere too.

b  ) She remains a backbench MP and is therefore still on the payroll. MSM & the Rhubarb Brigade on the other hand won't stop until Cummings picks up his P45.

c) Her personal life fell short of the standard expected of a party whip.

& all of the above is posted without 'defending' Cummings.

Cummings doesn't make the rules. The science and medical advisors make recommendations, the government use the recommendations to devise the rules, and the political advisors (e.g. Cummings) simply help with the communication of those rules. People need to stop insinuating that Cummings broke 'his own' rules.

Except that the governments own scientific advisors are saying the government are opening up too soon - how odd!

Wait wait didn’t Dom sit in on the SAGE meetings where the rules were created ? ????

Yep, deffo the majority. That's how we do things and that's why we have Boris, not old has been Corbyn.

Have another count why dontcha?

No need for another count; the Tories received 43.6% of the votes: fact.

That means your original statement that the majority of the electorate voted for them is untrue. They didn't even receive the majority of the votes cast!

Not silly at all - catching COVID is not a foregone conclusion. Had the pandemic been better managed, England would not have the worst death rate in the world. The blame for it taking such a devastating toll on the population lies squarely at the feet of our incompetent, corrupt government, and no number of dead cats will divert attention away from the culprits.

For ???????????????????????????? read ????????. I don't for one minute believe that ???????? has a higher death rate than the rest of the ????????????, but with countries manipulating their figures or not bothering to report in the first place we're simply being saddled as a result of our over zealous reporting and the suspicion that deaths are being attributed to the virus despite other conditions being the actual cause of death.

It'll all come out in due course.

(????????????????????????????/???????? death rate worse than ????????? Countries in Central Asia or the Middle East? The ????????? or countries in ????????? Your can swallow that if you like but don't expect too many others to join you)

Are you saying that Duffield and Cummings should be treated the same?

If so, I agree with you.

Duffield has apologised and resigned; when will Cummings do the same?

Kent Labour MP Rosie Duffield's full statement after resigning from frontbench for breaking lockdown rules

BTW, I can't find any reports of her "complaing (sic) last week about Dominic Cummings breaking lockdown rules." Have you a link?

The following points have been raised many times; but as yet not a single Cummings defender has had the guts to respond to them. Will one of you do so this time?

Number 10 said on 30th March that Cummings and his family were self isolating in their London home. A lie, by this time they were already in Durham.

Number 10 said that Durham police had not spoken to Cummings' father. A lie, they had.

Number 10 said that Cummings and his family had not driven to Barnard Castle on Wakefield's birthday. A lie, they had.

So Number 10 lied about Cummings on at least three occasions. The important question is why?

If it was done on his behalf but without his knowledge then the person responsible should resign or be sacked.

If it was done with Cummings' knowledge, or worse on his instruction, then Cummings must go.

But what the Prime minister knew about these lies at the time, or worst of all was responsible for them?

Honourable politicians have resigned for less.
