Bangkok’s popular tourist attraction, the Grand Palace, reopened to visitors on June 7. 

 

Though Thailand is gradually preparing to reopen its doors to international flights, the state of emergency may not be lifted by the end of this month, senior officials said on Monday (June 8).

PHUKET:-- Immigration officers are hunting for a Thai woman and three Nigerians wanted for scamming people in at least four provinces, including Phuket, in a confidence racket that so far has amounted to B280 million being moved through an account used for receiving payments from their victims.

Department of Land Transport: New Normal Driving License Test

BANGKOK(NNT) - The Department of Land Transport or DLT has reopened its service providing driving license tests. However, on this the first day, the atmosphere was quiet. The process of obtaining a driving license application involves observing public health measures. The department limits the number of applicants in the building at any one time, and the first served are those applicants who booked a place earlier.

Innovative fruit packaging in bid to boost export, online sales

The packaging centre for the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TPC) has come up with three new packages for fresh fruit – a box that keeps out the odour of durian, a corrugated box for transporting ripe mango and a smart label indicating the level of sulphur residue on packed longan fruit.

Decision on reopening of Thailand’s national parks expected this Friday

It seems a great idea to reconnect countries which have had a good level of success in controlling the coronavirus pandemic domestically. Such travel bubbles or tunnels could in theory be used to kickstart commerce and tourism between partner countries. But no deal has yet seen the light of day.
