JK Rowling Criticizes Edinburgh Council for Flying Trans Flag to Honor Violent Prisoner
Did you even bother to read the OP? Rowling did not dispute what TDOR is about, what she is stating along with other feminist campaigners and critics is about a local case involving Tiffany Scott and how its relevant to the flag being flown on Transgender Day of Remembrance So who are these people posting a stream of denial of the actual facts? -

Man Accuses 11 Lamphun Police Officers of Illegal Raid and Extortion
You could double their salaries and still the corruption is so embedded in the RTP that nothing would change. -

My VPN package is going up - Looking for Recommendations - Advice.
Unfortunately, after my experience yesterday, or rather today, I have to agree with you on this. What turns out, because of the price and small risk $1/month, I took out a 1-year subscription with ‘Namecheap’ yesterday, fine, everything worked yesterday. What turns out today, they have blocked the subscription with the reason that they need more information and will block the connection until then. What the <deleted>! They won't get them, have asked for a refund, which I don't expect back. Then just suffer a $12 loss. But a good lesson for others. -

EVA Air Online Check In Requires Visa, so cannot Select Seat ???
£150 is unfair for the emergency exit seat but the airlines know somebody will pay it for the extra comfort. I'm quite lucky in that I usually know my travel plans well in advance so can plan ahead carefully. I book the fare class that suits me best considering the circumstances of the upcoming trip. For instance, for a trip next February I paid an extra £100 for the fare class on the return leg from Bangkok but that allowed me to redeem points to upgrade to Royal Laurel. The cheaper option did not. On a separate note, the last time I used points to upgrade from economy to premium economy on the London to Bangkok leg I was hit with an additional charge of £104 when checking in. This was the long haul tax that the UK government imposes. As I was no longer flying economy I had to pay the difference which would have already been priced into the premium economy ticket. I was not happy but not much I could do. As I've mentioned previously, happy to fly economy now on the London to Bangkok leg in the front row emergency exit seat. -

Thailand's Expats Urged to Register with TRD for Tax, Says Expert
I think that information is quite clear. Any tax resident of Thailand who remits in excess of 60k / 120k / 220k * in a tax year needs to file a tax return. As per the Revenue Code. An Assessment Officer will apply TEDA's and assess whether any tax is due. An Assessment Officer, not an individual. * Unless that income is exempt taxation in Thailand due to a DTA. -

Road Rage, Six-Wheel Truck Driver Attacks Songthaew Driver in Violent Confrontation
Maybe short instructional driving commercials on TV, Showing proper road courtesy may help. Simple attempts to help drivers understand and improve driving skills. Slow drivers in the fast lane , refusing to give way is a constant issue I see. It's bedlam on the roads with so many drivers apparently unaware of common courtesy. I liken driving to playing a video game. Amazing Thailand.. -
