Disc/belt sander. anyone ?

I am considering getting a disc/belt sander and wondered if anyone here has got one and could recommend ?

There seem to be the usual chinese offerings on Lazada and one or two others.

 

I am looking for something along the lines of this.......

The German version Scheppach although more expensive seems to have better youtube feedback.

 

Anyone got any comments ? its only for light woodwork sanding and shaping, nothing heavy (and I have a bench grinder for heavy stuff)

I was looking at sanders last year and found that the BDS460-BELT&DISC SANDER-JEMAR from Thaicarpenter Was Virtually if not exactly the same as the scheppach but was about considerably cheaper at 3,800 compared to the scheppach that is about 6,600. Mine has had no problems in the last 16 months, I was using it earlier today.

ThaiCarpenter are out of stock now for quite some time of that model.

The Scheppach is currently around 5200 on Lazada. 5700 with delivery. The MKT is 4200 free delivery.

My only recommendation is to make sure you can get belts/disks for whatever you buy,,,
