Thai Street Food Restaurant, Jomtien...

Featured Replies

I read the reviews of this place, before a January trip, and thought it maybe some kind of tourist trap gimmick.  Then, I ate there three times and it was nearly perfect, and pretty cheap.  The man told me he was from Uthai.  The food was so good, I was curious enough to ask him his origins.  Just wondering, have these nice folks reopened?  I am willing to bet some of you have eaten there, and could even be regulars.  Kind of a shack across the street from the beach..

"kind of a shack across the street from the beach". err Jomtien,s beach is quite long.. could you be more specific i.e. near which soi?

Near soi 11...just south of TMB.  Google maps will show it, with reviews, photos, etc..

Along with many Thais, I have never understood this notion that Thai Food must be "cheap" to be any good.

Who said that?  It doesn't need to be expensive, though.  The best places are the busy places, and the busy places are busy because of good food and value.  The state of household finances in LOS, along with the failure rate of local businesses does not give much credibility to their understanding of Economics.

Depends on the quality of ingredients used, like all cuisines.
