I'm So Glad to be in Thailand during the Season of the Virus. I'm Glad, I'm Glad, I'm GLAD!

I'm so glad.

I am really glad to be in Thailand during this season of the virus.

There are only a very few other countries which have done so well in controlling the virus.  The only country which has done better is Taiwan.  And, Thailand and Taiwan begin with a T and sound almost the same.

I am really so very glad to be in Thailand because the government has done a truly amazing job at controlling the virus, even though the task was daunting.  Everybody knows this.  There was a huge hurdle to overcome, for example due to the proximity of China, which was just one challenge.

So, as we can all now see, and we can see so very clearly, the people in charge of the public health sector really were paying attention from the very beginning.

OF COURSE, as you probably know if you are as old as I, Thailand has been faced with many similar viral outbreak challenges in recent years.

But still, Thailand has done a magnificent job in controlling the virus spread, so far.

Let's all hope that everyone will continue to cooperate with gov policies that have proven to be very effective.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I am so glad....

Almost before most of you guys were born, I was buying OSELTAMIVIR, for gd's sake!!!!

Those were the good old days when Tamiflu was a very new antiviral drug sometime around 2002.

I DID buy a few doses.....

BUT, where are those doses now?

Those doses which I bought, foolishly, are now sleeping with the fishes....someplace.

In my opinion, Jack Bruce is more effective in combating most viruses than are most modern antiviral drugs.

And so, this is why I link this music.

If you want to combat some sort of virus, any virus, then Jack Bruce is the Man.

Just my view...

Poor Jack Bruce....He was born under a bad sign....yet still good!

I am thinking about the LOVE you laid on my table...in the kitchen.

You were doing the dishes.

I crept up behind you.

I grabbed your bosoms and we made it on the table in the kitchen,

And the shrimp gumbo went akimbo.

Those were the days....

JACK BRUCE...

An amazing singer from Scotland.

Amazing.

I just think that it's so unfortunate that there are so very few people from Scotland on TV, just because....I wish there were more like JACK BRUCE!

ONE OF THE GREATEST SONGS OF ALL TIME......

He was dying, but he still sang his heart out.....Not so easy to do, maybe.

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

Amazing, I think.

His last song.

His last song.

Has it? I had you as a somewhat an intelligent fellow, too. Oh, and avoid posting while inebriated.

Perhaps a bit morbid ?

No.

Not morbid in any way.

Just a beautiful ballad.

Don't you think?

Maybe you had me mixed up in your mind with John Cheever.

Cheever was intelligent.

Cheever wrote while inebriated, most of his life.

It was only toward the end of his drunken life that he finally wrote sober.

Mister Barleycorn, are you related to that poster that enquired about a Neil Young fanclub in Northern Thailand ? Or perhaps one and the same ?

I can only admit to a deep appreciation of Neil Young music.

Also, I have never joined a club in my life.

Clubs remind me too much of the Club of Four, or I mean the Sign of Four, or the Red Headed League.

I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.

Same is true for me - you can understand that in whichever way you want to.

You should not ask your unclever friends Google.

Instead, you should ask Sherlock Holmes and also, maybe, Volvo.

Soon as I see my Swedish friend Wolwo, I will ask him. He's a wiking you know.

Well I am stuck in Europe, wife is stuck in Thailand, but good wine is cheap here - so yes i am glad.

But as you have guessed, slightly bored too.

OEPS. I thought Steven was talking to ME, as my real name is John (unlike that Barleycorn fellow). Sorry.

I am glad for the internet.

But, I am not particularly glad for myself.

The internet is such a boon for all kids on Earth.

Also, I will re-post this photo/image which I think is best I have ever seen, after the Shackleton images from Hurley.

Reading your posts is always entertaining.

I do admire your extraordinary mental capacity, just sometimes am not sure which planet you are from.

Nevermind, keep on posting for your followers. Looking forward.
