Koh Samui: Russian arrested for using fake credit cards to buy goods, withdraw cash

Surat Thani provincial police announced they had arrested a Russian national who had used lots of fake credit cards to purchase goods and make cash withdrawals all over Koh Samui.

The police investigated Vadim V. after complaints were received from a bank about irregular activity on the holiday island.

The suspect was arrested at a pier on Friday evening as he attempted to go to Phuket, reported Manager.

He has been charged with having fake electronic cards and using them.

Eight cards, a machine for reading them and a computer were taken into evidence.

Why is it some criminals faces are obscured and others aren't? We should be able to see who this person is. Does the facial obscuring suggest that the police have yet to be offered a bribe? Thailand needs to set laws and enforce them.

It's their choice, that's why.

Why should "we", and the rest of the world, be able to identify this person who has not yet been found guilty of any crime?  The laws pertaining to circumstances such as this are being enforced, that's why you can't see him!

Why "looking at him"?

Something unusual in his look?

Certainly wasn't using the money to bulk up his girlfriend.
