Starmer pretending to be Mr Nice Guy does not make Labour electable. Bending the knee to a anti-semetic BLM movement will come back to haunt him.

I agree. i was unsuccessful at posting this <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Next_United_Kingdom_general_election#Opinion_polling> It suggests that since April, when the fanatical Labour party elements seem to be on their way out, thanks to Starmer's appointment as party leader. My observation is that there is now a 6-7 point gap in popularity betweent the 2 parties ( LibDem's being toast). Could Starmers leadership be having a tangible effect? It is all very short term, so who knows?

There is no doubt in my mind that Starmer has to be an improvement of the old Jeremy Corbyn, but there again anybody would be an improvement, but there is still too much dead wood in Starmers cabinet.

As this poll suggests Starmer is out-polling his party.

The right of centre continually indulge in the practice of smearing opponents, would have more credibility, if that is possible, for ceasing such activity. An article from the Times of Israel supportive of Starmer efforts to address anti Semitism.

I honestly think you have more to be worried about than your daily dose of Boris bashing. Starmer overtaking Boris in the opinion polls will be of little or no help to Belgium when we finally start trading globally, it has been estimated that there will be 42,000 job losses across Belgium should there be a no deal Brexit, which no one would deny that looks indeed like the most possibly outcome. Belgium is the UKs fourth largest trading partner and is responsible for 8% of its exports and 5% of its imports.

You are doing your usual stuff and twisting facts, you do not know what is happening in the pipeline, you  just spout not realising most here know your game.

So tell me, why has the UK gov relaxed visa criteria for those wishing to come to the UK for nursing....

Can you do that, without twisting facts...?

This is no longer project fear, this is project reality, this is what you voted for.

This is what's going to happen in 6 months or so, no matter what happens in the negotiations between now and then.

You may not have realized when you voted for it, just like a lot of MPs seem not to realize the consequences of the withdrawal agreement when they voted for it, but these are the inevitable consequences of Brexit.

And so we come full-circle, to the "you didn't know what you were voting for" line. I disagree, of course, but it may be fair to assume that many people were not aware of the full consequences of their choice, at least from the economic aspect. That said, the same may be said about the vote to stay in the EEC in 1975, when most were totally unaware of the long-planned morphing of this apparent "economic community" into a full political union and superstate. But I think that far more Britons are aware of the true intentions of the EU now, which is good.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/news/travelling-after-brexit-passport-europe-roaming/

With less than six months until the end of the Brexit transition period, Britons are starting to learn more about the new restrictions they will face when travelling to Europe.

Today, the Government will begin an advertising blitz to help Britain prepare for life outside the UK, and – while uncertainty remains – for travellers it seems higher costs and more red tape will be unavoidable.

Here is what we know so far about the key areas:
Passports and visas
Currently, anyone visiting an EU country only needs a passport that is valid for the proposed duration of their stay. From January 1, however, they will need to have at least six months of validity on their travel documents.
Millions of Britons whose passports are due to expire in the next year are being urged to apply for a new one now, a situation which is likely to cause a stampede of renewals at UK passport offices.

more...(much more...)

Holidaymakers urged to take out extra travel insurance post-Brexit

People going abroad will need to take out policy that includes health, as EHIC runs out on 31 December

Ministers are urging people to take out comprehensive travel insurance if they are heading abroad from January as they announce plans to plough £700m into a new border trategy. From Monday a new marketing campaign to get the public prepared for life after the Brexit transition period will include TV, radio and digital adverts. Advice for people in Northern Ireland is set to follow in a few weeks’ time as negotiations with the EU continue.

As well as reminding people about insurance and checking passports are in date, the adverts will also be targeted at businesses exporting to or importing from the EU, reminding them to get an economic operators registration and identification number, or to register with the relevant customs authority. The new advice is part of the government’s ‘The UK’s new start: let’s get going’ campaign.

Holidaymakers will need to take out insurance that covers health as the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) will only be valid up to 31 December 2020. Anyone wanting to travel to Europe with a pet from 1 January 2021 needs to contact their vet four months in advance.
