Website builder

Featured Replies

Thinking of making a new website, used Godaddy before who were very good, 24hr customer service, but the templates weren't good and not easy to change around.

I'm not into using WordPress, want something simpler.

I thought Squarespace might be better, but they don't have telephone support - it looks like a better site, or Wix?

Is there an online website builder people recommend or think is the best?

Its for a small business.

Thanks

Wordpress is already simple. In the long run it is best if you learn to work with it. There are a lot of themes. A lot of plugins. You can find a solution for almost everything if you use Wordpress. And there are so many people using it that it is very easy to find information online or to get help. If you have a problem with Wordpress you can google it. For every problem there are probably 100 people explaining how to solve that problem.

Squarespace is expensive. $12 a month...  And Wix sucks. On buyshared.net you can get Wordpress hosting for $8 a year.

Agreed that WordPress is an excellent choice. We have had several clients where we charge a nominal fee to assist them with establishing their WP website, and they have been very successful managing it on their own after that. With a solid template, the website can be fit for purpose for many years.
