Stoma Bags

For which type?

For urostomy I find this product/seller on Shoppe excellent and have been using for several years.  You can buy cheaper Chinese bags but had extreme issues trying to remove adhesive.  Much prefer Convatec.  Below was not sold on Lazada but they are also an option for some types.

I am currently using Convatec colostomy bags but I am looking to change the type of bag and also the supplier while sticking with the same manufacturer.

Convatec will be more expensive than the Chinese versions - for me it is an insured item so not that critical to find lowest price but believe the shop above sells various types at as good a price as you will find in Thailand.  I would search Convatec in both Lazada and Shopee to find best price.  Also if you decide on specific model number you can have drug stores price for you (almost all have to order but there can be some difference in price).

Apparently with the Gov Hospitals they are being rationed, and requiring only 15 per months at 150b each.

Do you have a link to the cheaper Chinese ones please. Are they heaps more difficult?

Thinking of getting some for a inlaw to try and get some delivered  bi-monthly.

I can highly recommend this shop as have used for several years now and fast/correct shipments but not sure if they sell inexpensive items.

Below is example of 50 baht Chinese model at another shop - as said only had experience with a urine type and it worked fine but removal of adhesive was difficult.  As have insurance no need to buy least expensive - without insurance suspect I could have made do.

OK will give current info:  was only able to sleep on stoma side using Convatec bags of any kind as once turned to left side seal would leak within few hours.  Lived some years with that issue but at last tried Coloplast 5585 one piece bags.  They have allowed sleeping normally on back or both sides without leakage for 2 days usage.  Also very easy to remove without tearing skin.  Not cheap at about 3k for 20 bags but well worth it to be able to sleep normally.  Buy from Lazada Medical Smile and get very fast delivery.

The other thing needs is night drainage bags and they can vary in quality but not expensive and use one bag for a week.  Use bottom drain of this.

If you have any questions feel free to ask - had same condition (although was stage 2 at start so no chemo required - although a long queue delay made condition at op time much worse and moved to private to avoid even longer wait).  Mine was done in 2016.
