Wife always getting angry and short tempered..

Featured Replies

Walks around most of the day with a long face, snaps if I ask her anything, shouts at the kids, hardly ever speaks. Occasionally in a good mood, but knowing it won't last long, etc etc.

How long is enough? She's not gonna change and will probably just get worse. She's 40 and yes kids involved.

I'm sick of it all, and yes before you say it she's probably sick of me too.

Money not a main problem, so let's not go there with that one.

Let the wisdom and abuse follow..

Saturday afternoon and trolling on the internet. Where did it all go wrong for YOU?? Your 'life' is no doubt worse than even mine is. Poor sod.

  • I'm going to move this to the Farang Pub, the home of marital advice.

Hows the bed action ?

Maybe she needs a decent rodgering.

Maybe you should sit down and ask her the same question? How the hell would any of us know what’s going on in your lives?

That doesn't make a shred of difference at the end of the day. 10 minutes after it's just back to normal. If sex was the answer there would never be any break up's, divorces etc..

When mine's naughty I deduct money from her pay packet.

Yours is probably different, independent, earns more than you, educated, wealthy family, so that probably wouldn't work for you.

My alternative suggestion is to have a little 'party holiday' without her in Saigon or Siem Reap, it may not improve the misses disposition, but you can sure forget her moods for a while.

That doesn't work at the moment either.

Women's personalities rarely improve with age, and often get much worse.

That's life, better to rent.

Sorry to hear she leaves the bed not satisfied.

My condolences.

Worse thing I ever did was have kids here, just tied myself up in knots now.

I'm seriously unhappy, and yes know this isn't the place but it's better than nothing..

I wish you the very best of luck trying to get an answer to a more than centuries old question about understanding women from this forum

You have seen most of the replies to even the most courteous and sensible questions on here, right?.......

How long have you been together?

Was she ever a joyful bundle of laughs? Ask her why she's the way she is? The solution would be a whole lot easier with no kids.

Of course, there will not be a single reply on here that will help me, fully aware of that. I'm just feeding trolls like Mega, who is very over exciteable..

What you can do is drink more and take more drugs.

It doesn't help improve her disposition, but at least you're beyond caring.

On that note, time for a Gin Fizz or three.

(That's three sensible suggestions I've given you now)

Oh, oh ..... thought of number 4.

Go out for a massage or to a bar with some hookers.

Them rubbing up against you will make you feel a lot better, and remind you of the good times past.

Menopause. Deal with it, it will go away eventually, and if you live long enough. Seriously, if that is the problem, HRT may be the answer. Get a hormone check for her and go from there.

Bipolar and since bipolar, narcissistic tendencies follow with the highs. Extreme mood swings, short fuse, sleeping a lot, no interest in things that used to make her happy. Blaming others for problems she creates. Thinking she's always right, rages, physical abuse, thinking  nothing ever will improve. Sometimes wants to be dead. Complaining about things that weren't a problem before. never satisfied no matter how many things are bought. Been there, am there somewhat again, had best friend kill himself from it, have relatives that have it, and Robin Williams is just one well known actor/comedian that died from it, although he had everything in life. It ruins most marriages, and until the person can admit they have a problem, everything is your fault. With medication (the right one), the serotonin levels will be more stable, and the moods will level out, without the extreme mood swings. Millions have it, and especially here, where life is generally boring. Nothing to do but sleep and work. Life is same same every day. Menopause usually starts between 45 and 55, so that probably isn't it, especially if this started earlier.

How old is she OP? could be the menopause but probably like more always been like it. I think mine is borderline crazy at times and has had the most insane meltdowns over less than nothing in the past. You either put up with it or leave, there is no cure and throwing money at them is not the answer. My argument is no Thai man would put up with this nonsense for more than a week, always shuts her up.

So this is nothing that had come up over night.

I guess, you both have to take the blame for waiting so long for it to blow up.

Best is to seek help - Counselling? A close friend you both could trust?

Sit together and have a chat too (hhmmmm... might not have big results, but worth a try)

Hear what you're saying, I know we have our 'disagreements' but I do appreciate you as a poster.

The thing is, this is not going to change, probably just get worse. Having kids has boxed me in, don't want to walk away from them, but at the same time I deserve to be happy too, or maybe not?

Have you thought about contacting NCCxxxx in Hua Hin?

The man has a ton of experience with women, which he regularly shares on this forum...

My Thai ex was like that, so I binned it and traded her in for a younger model. Will not put up with that rubbish anymore.

Check if it is salvageable if not then try to end it. Sometimes ending it is all that is possible. Talk with her about it. Not fun and even less fun now that there are kids involved.

Yea agree with all that mate, and it sounds very much like my missus. And yes, it will only get worse.

Yes, it's so boring here, I'm losing my mind. My 80 year old mother has a better social life than me, no joke.

Does she have any friends or belong to any groups that would get her out socializing with other women.

I didn't like the idea of my wife looking at me as the chief entertainment officer and eventually got her to join a classical/folk dance group in our village. She was reluctant at first but now she is well into it and has made a bunch of new friends . They do gigs all around the province and get a little money too.

Last week they hired a coach with their earnings and had a day trip to Bang Saen.

Being stuck at home might be depressing her and making her irritable.

Agree. she is 40

If you don't think she needs meds to sort out her attitude then you may have just picked a downer dud. Or may have to deal with your living conditions? House? Condo?

Many o many years ago I had an ex Thai wife and I could never please her. Thank God I never had kids with her and thank god I am not with her now. Unfortunately you have kids. Do as BritManToo suggested. Go out and get your self some companionship now and then and then just ignore her and focus on your kid or kids. Leaving her may make your stay here situation difficult.

I feel your pain, OP.

Mine is grumpy half her life and seems brought on at times simply because I am feeling good and smiling.  I have come to conclusion some just have to be miserable and complaining to be happy.

But when those babies crawl up in my lap and give me a hug it doesn't really matter at all.  I accept nothing I can say or do will change her attitude so to hell with it, I'll go about my business.  She can't drain the life out of me if I don't allow it.
