Popular Post AndyAndyAndy
No problem with that. If you own a business you should be able to decide who are you going to server and who not. I saw some places not letting in Indians. You can as well filter out all foreigners. Or only black people. I think your business - your rules. 14 6 10 6

I doubt that. Xenophobic Thais will probably flock there thinking it's safer. This is truly nauseating. 8

Popular Post Paiman
They just have the balls to express what their thoughts are. Most Thais will agree, just not voice their opinion openly. It is transforming more and more into a racist country with so called politicians manipulating the public opinion further. They prefer the attention being on the foreigner than on the government. 15 1

Popular Post champers
There are bars in Pattaya with signs up banning muslims, have been for years. I am reminded of the English bar in Pattaya that put up a sign just before the 1998 World Cup started. It listed no frogs, no krauts, jocks, argies, dagos, yanks, eyeties ... and on and on ending with no thais. All their Thai staff walked off the job and were only persuaded back by removal of said sign and a pay increase. The pub has bitten the dust because of the covid crisis, at least finished off by it.

Popular Post MJKT2014
The guy has an agenda, can see that from his Youtube channel. Whilst I applaud some of his point of views, in this case there are two sides of a story. Perhaps Thai services, much like the interstate bus service that was (still is??) banning foreigners, the reason could be simply administrative (tracking people by passport original ID) and unwillingness to be bothered with such paperwork at this time whilst trying to recover a business, but its bad optics and easier to rush to a xenophobic story. 3 2 1
Henryford
I believe in a free country bar owners should be allowed to serve who they want. Of course wouldn't be allowed in thought crime Britain.
Popular Post Pilotman
Simple, just do not ever go there again. I don't see what all the fuss is about. If they don't want your custom and your money, then fine, don't give it to them. 10
Popular Post Camelot
Scary newspaper headlines triggered a similar anti-foreigner reaction when the first Thais started dying of HiV/AIDS in 1983-86. This was repeated in the late-1990s when the government blamed the economic crash on foreigners and thousands of Thais lost their jobs as factories closed. Given time, the xenophobia created by Covid-19 will also pass.

Popular Post Pilotman
A lot of the trouble of this nature you read about on TVF, is that people living in the big cities, especially Bangkok, think that what they see, experience and hear in that city represents the views in the whole of Thailand. Understandably, they take that view from their experiences, but we all know that most of the rest of Thailand doesn't feel like they feel, doesn't act like others in the cities act. It's almost a different country out here in the 'sticks'. and in that, it is no different to many other big cities in other countries. London is not the UK, Moscow is not Russia, New York is not America. 5

Instead, somehow humanity is evolving into a civilized society where such actions are frowned upon by snowflakes and nanny state-sheeple. ok ok, I think all but the dumbest of you get my sarcasm there. Racist bigotry cannot stand, in any form, in any culture, in any country - this is wholly unacceptable. A business is open to the public, some of you have argued the ‘right not to serve based on race or nationality’ - that’s racist & those of you who suggest such an argument just don’t get it. 11 5

Imagine you travelled somewhere only to be told you can’t enter because you were not Thai? (I know the YouTuber targeted this place) hopefully the negative publicity will encourage a shift in the clumsy attitude, hopefully this is an isolated case. it’s already bad enough in some areas with double pricing. 6

Don't see why folks have to whinge and whoo ha about it ..... reminds me of the baby spitting the dummy out of the pram because he can't go inside.
