Trump raises possibility of delaying November U.S. presidential election

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday raised the possibility of delaying the nation’s November presidential election despite its date being enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.

 

Trump, without evidence, repeated his claims of mail-in voter fraud and raised the question of a delay, writing: “delay the election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???”

Since Trump has used mail-in vote in every election since he is in office, I would think he consider it properly, securely and safe, or did he attempt fraud?

On the other hand, if they can attend school , work and other business, as he suggests, why can't they attend an election?

trump provides no evidence because his claims are baseless. 
 

He is scrambling around to find excuses to avoid facing a vote he knows he is in all probability going to lose.

He's running scared.

   Maybe the polls have spooked him.

   I think Trump can win if he can successfully hang the escalating Antifa/BLM mayhem around the Democrats necks.

   Normal salt-of-the-earth Americans won't vote for the party of Chaos.

   The mayhem needs to worsen and get ultra-bad, and Trump needs to carefully respond with just enough federal intervention to bait the Dems into defending the insurrectionists and their tactics while loudly condemning Trump's 'fascist' response.

   Ordinary, everyday people will see the true story and won't vote Democratic. No way  no how.

   The problem is, that demographic, including those descended from the Anglo-Saxon founders of the country have dwindled in numbers.

   Not only are they losing their majority status, they are losing their moral  compass as well.

   The popular arts reflect the culture.

   Look at what a cesspool we've created.

   But hey, you never know, good leaders may arise and a new day will dawn.

   Let's hope so.

Yes, they will need that extra time to 'lose them' and then claim they never arrived in time.  The postmaster general (a Trump appointee) is already intentionally slowing down the mail.  They are going to try cheat and steal this election any way they can.

Not possible.  The electoral college are required to meet on a certain date, I believe in December.  If they cannot, for some reason decide then it goes to the house.  One state one vote.  This is Trump’s plan to steal the election.  Stay tuned.

Masks? I don't know that inflames me a whole lot more.

 

I suppose you want to rig the elections against Trump since you know full well most of his supporters won't show if they have to wear masks. They'd rather not vote than have to wear a mask.
