Thai authorities for sure, but the rest? Have they ever really given it to Interpol? They say they are, they say they have, but amazingly it turns out they never have, or interpol needed more info that never came hmmm, & it was tossed. Same with all the earblather years back about extradition. They say they are, they say they will, but never happens. That seems very odd to me, If he is such a criminal. ????
boonrawdcnx
Meanwhile in Dubai - Thaksin takes a sip from his glass of champagne spreads a bit more caviar on his blini while laughing out loud reading this news article. Now compare this court decision to the one the powerful crooks behind the scenes arranged for him in his assets declaration case whereby “accidentally” billions where held by the maid and gardeners. The Thai judiciary is nothing but a cheap corrupt tool for the crooks running things from behind the scene.

Srikcir
The real "crime" is that Thaksin allegedly violated the Constitution without a 'wink and nod' from the Deep State. So he is found quilty in absentia by a retroactive law expressivrly intended for his conviction withour regard to statute of limitations by an organization that has a long history of coups against constitutions. Same as could have been applied to "The Boss" for murder of a policeman as he tries to run out the statute; but he seems in lockstep with the "relevant" authorities to avoid such a trial.

They know he raped the country but as they believed he did some good they would vote for him. Obviously, the 500 Baht incentives helped. Yes, but right or wrongly, the lives of millions of Thais was better under Thaksin's rule than it is today (or even pre-covid). 2
Popular Post spidermike007
This current Administration is not one to be accusing others of moral transgressions. Have you noticed that the only chargers that are ever brought against anybody here, are former politicians, former policeman, former Customs officers. Never any current members of the army, never any current high-ranking members of the police. It is a clown show, with zero dignity, zero credibility and something we should pay zero attention to.

Well there was Ole Fatties watch case but it grew legs and ran away. They threw out Thanathorn and his party because they smelled trouble on the horizon, and then of course there is still a Heroin dealer in Government. What better way to keep the group saturated with trough feeders and true politicians. However, where else can you find more convicted people running the government than in the US.

Sydebolle
So get this right; some stuff has statutory limitations and then expire, others can be pulled out from the lowest drawer 10+ years later and brought to court? Potential investors; please note the legal flexibility of DabaDabaDo Land, just in case you might have something going tits up with a local joint-venture partner.
