Does anyone know the location of the Amphur in Chiang Mai where I can obtain a certified copy of my Thai kid's birth certificate?

"Ampeur" translates as "District".  If you can provide the name of the district, someone with local knowledge might be able to tell you the location of the District Office. Try Google searching "Google Map (name of Ampeur).When you have the map opened, enter 'District Office" in the map's search box.

Mine used to be in the old city but that moved to main "ampur" which is about 5km north, straight up from Chang Phuak Gate. It just after the Lanna Golf Course, left hand side as you go north. Search Chiang Mai Provincial Government Offices on google maps. This may or may not be the correct place for you as stated above.

Yep that's the one. I should have made it clear I was looking for Ampheur Muang.

Drive the "middle ring" 3029 counter-clockwise to the end, and there you are (Chiang Mai Government Center)

When you turn off to the government center off the 107 at the circle veer left and it is in a new office building.Thats where me and the wife got the marriage document for immigration, more than likely same bldg
