Is that why he hasn't been charged with any crimes...either before or since becoming president?

Are you serious?

  • Your beloved “institutions” broke the law, all Snowden did was expose them and that rightfully so!

  • He doesn't have any principles except doing what he thinks is best for Donald Trump.

  • That’s our Donald!pandering to the younger voters and trying to descredit the institutions that have kept us safe over the years imo he’s a wonderfull asset to anyone who wants to weaken America

You expect different from a majority GOP Congress?

So duly elected members of Congress, with whom you disagree, are "goons" too? Does this go for your friends and family as well?

It is highly farsical to see Trumpers (for whom China is a key target) now praising Snowden, after he leaked how the US was spying China. As a result, China removed Cisco equipment from its network, thus depriving the US from valuable intelligence. It also had a negative impact on the US IT industry.

On top of it, Snowden provided valuable intelligence information to China (and also to Russia).

It's not surprising that Snowden has been initially protected by both China and Russia...... And now by Trump?

My guess is that a Trump pardon for Snowden would be an attempt to show even-handedness in exercising the pardoning power.  That would be just another lie, of course, but I can't think why else Trump would do it.  Unless he wants to stick it to the intelligence community in particular.

I'm not sure if Snowden has anything to offer up!  If he did, it would be classified .Probably take years to declassify it!

Expressing an opinion on this and the previous post would earn me a posting suspension.

And your standard answer under your previous nick 'so you have nothing' would be incorrect.

Would that be because anything you would post would be untrue...because Donald J. Trump has never been charged in a criminal case?

No, it would show a great ignorance on your side. See stance of trump and DoJ on indicting a sitting president.

no, i disagree on that. to have government organizations

conducting illegal clandestine operations is the threat to the democracy.

that is what a free press is there for, to expose these schemes

I wouldn’t necessarily call them goons but abetting a goon to head the GOJ. Don’t go personal please.

That DOJ memo is just an opinion...not law. The memo also does not bind any of the fifty state attorneys general from bringing charges if they think violations of state criminal laws have occurred, or the thousands of county and city district attorneys from doing the same. And we are not talking about just the period of Trumps presidency, I pointed out that the current president has NEVER been charged in a criminal case, either before or after his inauguration. You seemed to take issue with that statement, yet can't name a single instance to the contrary. May I suggest you stop insinuating that the President of the United States has committed crimes, either before or while in office, without any proof.

I'm not dumb enough!!!

Well in light of that well known fact (not you) I am wondering if Donald really knows who Snowden is.  I can just hear him now "Well he does a pretty good job really, some years he does bring too much, and sometimes around Xmas he dont bring enough, but it is what it is".

By your words, if they confirmed a "goon" as Attorney General, doesn't that make them goons as well...sort of a "goon" fraternity? Why can't you say the Republican senators confirmed someone I dislike and feel is unqualified to serve as AG...a perfectly reasonable statement and opinion someone can have. You are the one who resorts to name calling people or things of which you disagree.

Again...do you know the difference between civil and criminal charges? Any businessman of Trumps stature is likely going to be involved in numerous civil actions, brought by both private and public plaintiffs, on all sorts of matters. However, criminal charges are an entirely different and more serious matter...again for which the President has NEVER been charged (despite how much some people may wish he was); because there has to be actual evidence of a crime and not just wild speculation in the media and online that crimes have occured.

Ok.

Let's just call him 'dishonest' instead of 'criminal', for now.

Never been charged because the doj says he cant. But he can be when he is out of office.

You do know there is a grand jury investing him and they will get his tax returns.

You may call him whatever you like, however, calling someone a "criminal" or saying they have committed "crimes" has a specific meaning, and in this context is misleading unless it's specifically stated as an opinion.

The man (and I use that term loosely) is a criminal and a traitor and when he's out of office the great state of New York is coming after him.

And here's a hot tip; President Biden won't pardon him.

There are thousands of grand juries around the country investigating all sorts of things every day...nothing unusual about that. Again, the DOJ memo is just an opinion...not law. If Mueller had any evidence of crimes, he could have brought charges (like he did for others). The Democrat state prosecutors in NYC may or may not eventually get the President's tax returns (that's still to be decided by the courts)...and if they do so what?

No. Rep senators are enablers. AG Barr is a crony goon. What so hard to understand. I am sure you delighted with his appointment working on the behest of Trump rather than for the people. If that is your reason for speaking out for Barr, that is perfectly your call. I called him a goon not you. No need to defend that statement unless you aim to insinuate.
