Outer Ring Road Complete?

Featured Replies

I like to know if the Ring Road is finish all the way now? If not do any one know when if will be finish?

I will arrive in the airport in July. I will drive by car to Ratchaburi, so the quickest way is via the Ring Road. I read some ware that the bridge over the river is done. Is that right?

I don't believe that (newer) bridge is actually the one slated for the Outer Ring Road (i.e. Highway 9), is it?

Tank you

I just take the expressway thru town.

I just take the expressway thru town.

...following the signs for Dao Khanong.

New Ling Load...Just up near Samut P....getting there...roll on next year...

other side towards Shri Nak Rd/Flyover.

next door to Chang Yai...Erawan... :o

Be aware though that presently there is a 15 metre gap in the bridge where it isn't finsihed. We came back from Hua HIn and decided to try it. The road was fantastic, smooth and fast and relatively empty. The signs were looking good - Samut Prakan and Bangna displayed in white on green - then disaster struck. We were funneled off the road and into an industrial estate. We retraced our steps and got caught in the traffic as usual. Once this road opens it will make a huge difference to us :o

Bump. Anyone know if the road is complete? Definitely was not the last time Google maps was updated, and just a dashed line on all my maps...

The road is complete, but there is a traffic jam when coming from the west to the Bangna area. THe toll booths have not been completed and are under construction, so the lanes narrow down to two. During rush hour, cops let alternating lanes go through, so you can expect a 20 minute delay.

I don’t understand this.

When I look at Arial photo and maps there is still no road number 9 from Bang Na Trat road to Phra Pradaeng. Is the road there and just not on the maps and photos?

It's there. On Srinakarin Road - you come to the 9 a few miles South of Thepparak. It crosses Sukhumvit exactly at the 3 headed Elephant Temple. Going East & West.

Guess I should go try it.

It's sure not on Google maps.

Coming from Minburi/Ramkamhaeng area does Outer Ring Road (9) go all the way and exit at Rama II (35) (near Central Plaza Praram 2 - Shopping Mall)? The google map online shows it stopping at the Motorway (3), but my paper map shows it going all the way.
