Good grief.

Mixing politics with a body which should be kept as far away from politics as possible is outrageous and unforgivable.

WHO is no longer a health organisation, but a political entity, perhaps it always was a political entity which is why the advice and direction from the WHO throughout this crisis has been so misdirected.

Just now, Sheryl said:

Not sure he fits that bill.

He is a loose cannon with poor self control and a tendency to speak without thinking first.

Without context it would be difficult to know which politician you are discussing (including international politicians).

And yes, he is a loose cannon who’s ego and self importance oversteps his candor.

He's making his first address, tweeted just now by WHO Thailand

"While we are waiting for the vaccine we must keep out guard high and gradually re-open our economies." - Anutin Charnvirakul, Minister of Public Health, Thailand

Sickening is the only word I have for his appointment.
