Lets hear what people pay for their car insurance in Thailand. 3rd, 2nd and 1st class. What company there is to recomend, benefits and so on.

i pay 19750b for 1st class cover for a 4 door vigo 3 litre automatic 4WD.

I just paid 6900 baht for 1st class for a ford mondeo 2L glxi 4 door I have 40% no claims from IAG insurance. :o

I payt 15,000/year on a 3L Ford Escape, and 14,000ish on a 2001 Ford Ranger 4x4.

Last week I have payed for my Toyota Sportdriver 12823 Baht for first class.Devis Insurance is the Company.I have this car for 4 years now.Never had an accicdent.The first year it was 24324 Baht.

60k on S and 40k on SLK (1st class insurance). Both cars driven in Bangkok.

22k for Vigo double cab, for the last 2 years from Viraya. Wonder why the insurance is not reduced after the 1st yr?

So what does '1st' cover you for guys?

The prices that are quoted above would suggest that not too many of the cars on the road are insured to that level so, if someone hits you, do you get your repairs on a 'no questions asked' basis?

Have any of you had reason to claim, and was it resolved to your satisfaction i.e. did you get your moneys worth?

My GF pays 8900 THB for 1st class insurance. It's a Isuzu pick-up insured in Udon Thani area.

Anyone knows a website with information about the Thai car insurance system and the tariffs?
