Politicians have discovered lock downs are good for their popularity (especially with the woke), high unemployment and less businesses paying tax doesn't seem to bother them. There again with politicians retirement packages what do they care.

 

Of course then someone will chirp in about saving lives, the death rate is so low its almost a statistical deviation, the carnage has occurred in the nursing homes, yet even there it is still statistically similar to any other year, seems many are dying with covid and not from it.
