Around 14/15 years ago I attended a local cricket club,s sportsmans dinner purely because Nobby was the guest speaker..as the MC announced his entrance virtually the whole of the audience (male only) rose to their feet and applauded him,after a couple of seconds the OT chant of "Nobby Nobby" started..the look on his face was priceless..such a humble and shy guy off the pitch,Denis George and Bobby usually got all the headlines but Nobby was loved by the OT faithful  R.I.P.  Nobby  :thumbsup:

... Bobby Charlton and Bobby Moore and Geoff hurst for his hat trick got all the accolades .. but  NO DOUBT Nobby was the one that won the people's hearts ...
