Greetings

I need to have a birth certificate and a celibacy certificate issue, translated and "Apostilled" by the MFA in Savannakhet for a Lao National residing abroad.

These documents were issued earlier this year but the administration we are dealing with want a less than 6 month document.

As one is unable to enter then leave easily this country we are looking for someone reliable who can do the legwork and send it over to us by DHL.

Kindly note that obtaining these two documents seem to be possible and the"agent" would take it from there as some family members should be able to deal with the issuance but their capability is not that great ????

Yes it is a marital status.

My question is about getting in touch with some agent to do it as we are unable to initiate the process ourselves as we are stuck outside of Laos. I do not mean disrespect but why would you need to know the purpose  ? As I have mentioned we did it earlier this year ourselves so....nothing illegal there

Thanks for the understanding and if you are aware of any agent over there I would be grateful for a contact.

Sorry I can't help you, but hopefully one of the experts here can.  I was just interested as there is a difference between celibacy status and marital status in general English!

I am no expert either when it comes to  English language but the certificate of celibacy is a document issued in order to prove one's marital status. It is also called certificate of non impediment, generally used for inheritance, marriage (obviously) and a few other matters. It is to be noted that the Lao Government refuse to issue such a document for any other purpose than marriage...and the person who requests needs to prove by providing every detail about the future spouse along with other "safety" documents. Not an easy task...as even if one succeeds in being issued one, the Ministry of Foreign Affair will decline to certify the document if all proofs are not in the dossier.

I hope this helps and answers the first part of your question (it actually gives you a hint as to the second part as well)

Kindly correct me if I am wrong as I do not see what prompted your comment "there is a difference between celibacy status and marital status in general English!" as a marital status is to define whether one is married or not whereas the celibacy status points at the fact that one is single.

In general English "celibacy" is taken to mean abstaining from sex, and it is possible to practice celibacy within marriage. I had never heard of a certificate of marital status called a "celibacy certificate" before - and I'm married to a Lao woman!  Hopefully, the OP will get his answer.
