I can't explain without coming across as a Wayne Carr or a Master Baiter.

The goons in charge are focusing their efforts in all the wrong areas. They are trying to make Thailand a Quaker State. A land of purity. Total BS. Nonsense. Misplaced priorities, and wasted efforts. And likely completely fake and hypocritical. No doubt these terribly misguided fools are trying to rid Thailand of one of it's most popular attractions. The nightlife. Porn. Etc. And we are not just talking about the "industry". Little do these ninnies know, the girls will just go underground, and online. You cannot stop and block everything. If it goes underground, it will operate more in line with the enormous sex industry in the US. Illegal, underground, unprotected, unregulated, potentially overpriced, and potentially more dangerous for all involved. So, they would be moving the nation backwards, and harming their people, and tourism, in the process, and in the long term. But, these incompetents don't think about the future.

They should be focusing their efforts on traffic and public safety, easing import tariffs, making visa policy simpler, and more friendly, boosting Western tourism (if that is even possible at this late stage, after spending ten years sabotaging the industry), real crackdowns on slavery, illegal fishing (instead of nonsensical hyperbole), and police corruption, cleaning up the water, the air, the rivers, and the beaches, and other things that actually improve lives.

In your first paragraph, you pointed out how "goons in charge" have imperiled the Thai sex industry.

In the second paragraph, you failed to mention ANYTHING that ANYONE can do to change that.

If you want to know why the govt is blocking pornhub ask your Thai friends.  All posts here completely clueless.

I asked one of my salim friends and before I could finish my question he just said, "deepfake!".

No idea what that means.

Getting closer to their goal each day, a new CCP-land. First try with pornhub, then goes twitter, facebook and google. And then the pride of the commies, Great Firewall, has engulfed Chailand.
