Pointless waiting for trump to concede, not going to happen. It takes class to do that. Yes but my point is that Biden has already won and networks decision to delay the call gives oxygen to 45s desperate effort to deligitimize the Biden presidency.

No chance via the votes determining the electoral college because Biden has Pennsylvania wrapped up with a pretty Philly cheese steak on top. In the jungle
Rupert Murdoch-owned conservative media outlets in the United States, including Fox News, the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post, began saying “if and when” a Trump loss becomes clear he should preserve his “legacy” by showing grace in defeat. If you flip an egg before it's ready, you ruin the meal. Joe has intelligence and knows how to show patience rather than paper tiger braggadocio. Joe already has Secret Service protection reserved for a president elect. Even Murdoch told 45 he has a 98% chance of losing. I am not a US citizen, but I have always admired the many checks and balances that the founders (With possibly some later amendments?) built into the constitution. Unfortunately your Electoral college system mirrors our UK FPTP stupidity, and the Senate gives too much power, to a small number of people, in States that contribute too little to US PLC (I understand that it was a necessary compromise at the time). One thing that I will never understand though is why there is a 2 1/2 month gap between election and taking power. Asking for trouble, as should have been obvious I would have thought.

Wish USA all the best for the future, however the horizon looks bleak. What you say is quite true. However, Trump also stokes racial hatred, demeans women, and separates children from their parents. He insults and belittles anyone who disagrees with him. His contempt for science has resulted in thousands of preventable deaths during the pandemic, where he has admitted the risk was deliberately downplayed. America is the basket case of coronavirus nations. His support of the fossil fuel industry will come home to roost, American shale oil producers are drowning in debt. Dr. Samuel Johnson said patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel. I guess whether one admires or loathes Trump comes down to the values they hold dear. 2
