Pattaya: Man claims attack by two "mat vendors" with a brick - quick arrests made

A 20 year old man called Kittichai told police that he was sitting on the beach near the Pattaya Police Station with his sister when they were accosted by two men who were mat rental vendors.

Thailand’s first ‘e-ferry’ arrives in Phuket

PHUKET: The first electric-powered ferry to be brought into service in Thailand was presented in Phuket yesterday (Nov 10), at Ao Por Pier on the island’s east coast, where the new ‘e-ferries’ will provide services to 10 islands in Phang Nga Bay, including ‘James Bond island’ and Phi Phi Island.

PHUKET: Health officials’ aspirations of using the ‘Phuket Model’ of preventing and handling COVID-19 infections in other provinces has taken a heady blow this week after an intensive ‘track and trace’ campaign successfully hunted down some 290 people suspected of infection after close contact with one COVID-positive man who travelled through Phuket, while a 38-year-old Dutchman confirmed as infected in Phuket just days after entering the country remains entirely unexplained.

Honda launches ‘clean energy’ motorbike taxi service on Sukhumvit

AP Honda, the Thai subsidiary of Japanese automaker Honda Motor, has launched “Green Win by Honda” project, in which 50 Honda PCX electric motorbikes will be used to provide taxi services to Bangkokians.

Meteor shower visible from Thailand tomorrow night from 7pm

HONG KONG/ SINGAPORE (Reuters) - A travel bubble between Hong Kong and Singapore will begin on Nov. 22, the two cities announced on Wednesday, as they moved to re-establish overseas travel links and lift the hurdle of quarantine for visiting foreigners.
