Whether there are any special rates for couples, I know not . . . .

There are.  Several hotel brochure sheets mention the cost of an additional person sharing the  accommodation.

Based on earlier posts, the additional person must be your wife, not your girlfriend.

That depends upon the ASQ you choose. There is no written rule that states you must be married to share a room.

Only married couples are allowed to stay in one room or parent and children.

Given the above, can I get adjoining rooms? Can I visit another room while in ASQ?

if the above written rule is not correct, has anyone done ASQ with a Thai GF without special permission from the Embassy?

That is not a official website. Look at the bottom of the page and you will see this "This is NOT the official website of the Thai Embassy"

Contact the ASQ hotel you choose about it and the other question you have.

The idea of quarantine is that you are isolated for a period of time, and cannot potentially become infected or infect others. Quarantine that allowed you to socialise with others (whether people you know well or not) would defeat the whole object.

I am talking about a Thai GF who is traveling with me in other countries now. She will have to go through quarantine herself.

I won’t debate about whether there is an official rule about couples staying in the same room requiring a marriage certificate. I would be happy to admit I don’t know.

But, I do know that hotels usually require a marriage certificate. I have seen people posting that they heard of hotels that don’t, but then can’t provide specifics. So, it seems to be a de facto, rather than de jure, regulation.

so, once again, I am looking for a solution to having access to my Thai GF during the 16 day quarantine (she must go through quarantine herself). Separate but adjoining rooms would be okay, as long as transit between the rooms is possible.

Reports from people in quarantine suggest they are locked in and allowed out only at certain times and kept isolated from other guests. 'Separate but adjoining rooms' is an oxymoron'. I doubt those types of rooms are being issued to non-married couples, if at all.
