Popular Post hexa
i havent still fully decided where im going on january 2021, quarantine 14 days isnt really problem for me but visa rules (if you need to send docs and stuff via post etc) seems so much struggle so i doubt thailand would be 1 of my choices... i did read stv and TR requirements... while stv would be nice the list of requirements gives me a headache...ordinary tr visa 60 days is kind a limited..90 would be nice but still i truly hate some paperwork.... i did check even "reccomended" thai insurance companies but those pages seems like from year 2004. Really wish it would be simple, send some docs or stuff via webpage, book asq, pcr test before flight and u can come... 3

the green light
13 hours ago, webfact said: Foreign ministry: 20,000 foreign tourists a month set to come into Thailand Picture Channel 8 A senior consular official at the Thai foreign ministry has said that the country is targeting 20,000 tourists a month. This comes as they have proposed that extensions to 60 day visas will now be 45 days instead of 30 to account for the 14 day quarantine visitors must do. It will apply to 56 countries including Russia, said Jaturon Chaiyakham. Jaturon said that PM Prayuth Chan-ocha wants more foreign tourists to come in. Right now the Covid situation is under control, he claimed, and there are 15,000 rooms for quarantine in Bangkok and Thailand can handle 1,000 visitors a day. The target is to get 20,000 per month to add to the 45,000 already in the country, 10,000 of whom are "stranded". In an upbeat assessment Jaturon said that the Certificate of Entry (CoE) is now easier than ever to get and can all be done online. Source: Channel 8 -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2020-12-08 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates The numbers are quite misleading. 1 .Right now airplanes are filled in partial capacity about 200 passenger with s social distancing on the plane. out of 20,000 tourists...they are looking at 1000 planes per month... equivalent of 250 planes per week. VERY VERY airlines are flying to Thailand. 2. quarantine takes actually 16 days. they do not count the first you arrive and you leave the 15th day after quarantine.. so you are looking at 16 days at the hotel. 3. then they need a van per passenger to take you to your hotel.. that is a 1000 vans. there is no infra structure to handle 20,000 tourist ..-First in order to get the COE you must make hotel reservation and pay for it. without it you can't come to Thailand. My friend came from the USA on this program At the airport,. it was quite long and extensive checking every where, he was the only person in the van then checking again at the hotel coming from the back door into your room. After spending $2000 he is locked in his cell room at the ASQ hotel. The government has a clear systematic system to check well enough at the airport. It is not designed to handle no more that 2 planes per day... A LOT OF CHECKING. People coming to Thailand are not tourist and on holiday. The reality is that the government is not going to change policy soon even with a vaccines. The travel industry is dead in thailand. and the government need to come up with a program to employ the people in the travel industry. And worse , even though the government has great incentive programs -- will tourist will come back to thailand ? Prices are high. Baht is very strong....too much hassle to get into the country... the government need to adjust their Baht and prices based on the fact that tourist had to pay $2000 extra to visit thailand. With that added price. Tourists can spend a good 10 days in Hawaii, Portugal, Greece, Mexico, Columbia, Rio...etc Thailand is no longer appeal anymore.

TRUE COE is very expensive.. you must pay the ASQ $1500 plus the ridiculous useless insurance of $500 airfare is just normal....then try to get a covid-19 testing in some part of the USA to be 72hrs before departure. that is also a challenge. The turn around of the test is 5-7 days.. you can miss your flight if you do not have it. I feel sorry for is that all these expat farang living in thailand and wanted no more farang to come in they can't leave either even for a medical condition.. you are stuck there too. the way it is set up. Thai and farang living in thailand believes the government that things are ok.. HAHA to that. The government has no clue on how to create new job for people.. HISTORICALLY ...military governmentS are only interested in suppressing people and keep the wealth where the power is. they do not believe in democracy or the share to all. People here recommending they open the country without quarantine restrictions make no sense; re-start the local experience of the pandemic for what? Thailand doesn't need 2-3 week vacationers, and can't afford the impact of welcoming them. Really marketing these programs to draw people interested in longer stays will require saying the same things two weeks in a row. It should have been a 60 day stay followed with the option to renew for two additional 60 day stays from the start. Financially secure retirees can afford to be in Thailand instead of their own country, where they stand a much higher chance of dying. By that I mean the middle class, not someone saving up for 11 months to visit one of the lowest cost of living destinations on the planet, to then live on the cheap there. WISHFULL THINKING. the government has a quarantine system in place...they are not going to lift it. just let the people suffer more.. because the government does not care about their own people. always lies and twisting fact.. Sad truth ...Thai believe their government. Let us go through the assumption that tourists can take the time off from work and want to visit thailand. 1. 10-14 days trip-- forget it ..can't make it out of quarantine, 2. 30 days trip.. you spend half of it in an ASQ hotel. you spend $2000 for quarantine, $1500 air faire ticket and another $2000 for the rest of the time.. Bottom line it comes to a 14 days holiday at a cost of $450/day. way to expensive. Not to add that most of the Thai business are shut down.. Nothing to see or do. - no NANA,NO CCOWBOY and NO PATTAYA, NO BARs.....How can you have fun at 4450/day. At a $450/day.. I can take the best vacation in Hawaii or Greece. The reality is here.....No tourists will come to thailand now , unless they change the system. and in fact nobody can leave thailand either unless you have agood $2,000 extra in your pocket.

They were never colonised, A GOOD BRAIN WASHED FARANG THAI STYLE. you are still a farang and they will treat as dirty farang like the rest of us. just like the jews going to the gas chamber.. there was no exemption.

Popular Post Soikhaonoiken
Dream on, they think tourists are biting at the bit to come to Thailand, but how wrong they are, the world is having an economic melt down, Some friends of mine wanted to come in January 21, but after pricing every thing up have decided against coming, they told me,.... £150 covid test to leave UK, £50 covid test in the middle East, and possibly another test in BKK,, then quarantine for 14 days at a Government cost of a minimum of £1000, the Hotel they wanted to book was 2000B per night @45 nights = over £2,000 that's a total of over £3,800 including flight, that's before they have spent anything on leisure, These are working class people, and said Thailand ain't a cheap Country to visit any more.

By that I mean the middle class, not someone saving up for 11 months to visit one of the lowest cost of living destinations on the planet, to then live on the cheap there. Fit and healthy people stand little chance of dying. The average age of death is over 82 years old. Covid kills weak and sick people. Obese people, diabetic people, those living on medication day in and day out..........those are the people at risk. They are also not the people going to "run away" from their home country and the medical system to escape to Thailand. They generally are stuck at home and rely on their medical system to keep them alive. This is where the idiots have got it all wrong.........nobody is running to Thailand as its "Covid Free"............. its not an attraction. Everyone knows everywhere is shut down. No entertainment. Hotels with minimal service. Everyone knows you are better off just staying home and waiting this out. So, this is where it boils down to simply - no matter what Thailand does it is not going to get a lot of tourists as it has NOTHING to attract them at this moment in time. It will only be attractive when mass tourism returns and everything opens up as before. So its all or nothing. Thailand wants to be Covid Free and with tourists.........NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. They need to shut up, get hold of vaccine, vaccinate the at risk people in the population and then open the doors.
