I need to get a boating license to captin my own boat but i'm not sure where to go or what to do. has anyone done this before? i need to get one as soon as possible.

I presume you are on Koh Pha Ngan, in that case you can apply for a skippers license at the Marine Department Office on the Seatran pier opposite the Seatran ticket office.

I know several ferangs who have obtained a license at this office, however they will want to see some proof of previous experience with boats, and more than likely a work permit depending on the circumstances

Go and speak to them they will give you all the pointers
