Like there is no prostitution ????

Covid aside, they could end prostitution here if they wanted to.  Once the revenue from cheap package holiday makers equals or surpasses the revenue from sex tourists, they may just do it.

Why.... they seem to fail with respect to ending all bad practices. Are there any success stories, the Jet-Ski scammers maybe? Not a one of which is in jail due to that crime I bet.

They will not end prostitution here because it's too lucrative.

Instead, they want money from all demographic of tourists, from families to sex tourists, but while the massive sex trade is allowed to continue here, families will not holiday in Pattaya.

They could make an area for the sex trade like Ban Chang, where it would be out of view from those that do not seek to participate.  This would go some way to keeping the Pattaya Beach / Central Pattaya area more marketable to families and couples from around the world, but the decrepit buildings on the various little soi's would have to be demolished.

i agree

the best option will be to keep the Soi Bukkaho area as a red light district

and to get rid of all the sex venues on second road, beach road and all the

small perpendiculars streets, from soi 1 to walking street

a move already on the way since years (soi 6 being an ''anomaly'' in the big picture)
