not sure if this is the right place for my query.   i want to get in to radio in order to communicate with other like minded people without going through phones or internet, Any advice whatsoever would be welcome.

Empty (and cleaned) cans of Heinz Baked Beans - you must use Heinz, they are the best of all bean cans.

 

Drill a hole in the bottom of each can.

 

Link the two cans together by putting the string through the hole and tying off a knot inside the can. Do this for both tins.

 

Now you have a secure, internet / phone free method of communicating.
