Popular Post sirineou
2020 has been a year we all would like to forget. but I am sure some positive thing has come out from all of this. How about instead of concentrating in all the negatives, we mention some of the Positives. For me Facemasks has been a major positive. For starters I don't have to look at any of you. But more importantly it has allowed me the opportunity to go shopping incognito, and not have to say hello to anyone I know!! I am thinking of making face mask wearing a permanent part of my wardrobe What about you? what was positive about 2020 for you? 1

Popular Post bluebluewater
Me and mine are all good but I'm sure not counting my chickens right now. Tomorrow is a new day. The stock market went up up up and I made a hellva lot of money. And without a hint of a lie I would give it all back if this virus had never happened. There is whole lot of folks in great pain right now. 6
Popular Post Patong2021
I am alive. Many have suffered or will not be here. I am financially secure (If bank does not collapse and revolutions.) Many have nothing and in bad place. Covid19 vaccine is on the way. yes, i know it will take time to roll out but when we compare to where we were 8 months ago, sun will shine again soon. Children were spared the worst. Less vehicle traffic makes my life better.

Popular Post sirineou
Oh!! another good thing about 2020 is that with the loss of smell from Covid , I don't have to shower as often, saving money on both soap and water. Not to mention laundry of smelly clothes. Winning!! 1

Popular Post Jingthing
About the masks, I haven't fallen for the facial hair trend and have always liked to be clean shaven when I go out. No longer an issue. My shaving gels sit expectantly on the shelf. About the surgical masks in particular, I wish my Mother could have lived to see that, she always wanted me to be a doctor! I think it is the feature with many jobs. No reason to go to the office and consume company resources when you can do the same jobe or even better from home. And in certain markets it could save you a lot of money. When I worked in Manhattan it cost my about $ 200 a week to commute, and 1:30 min of my time each way.

Winter of 2019 I had a few sick days which hit the red zone when I was knocked off my bike and injured, when confronted by my boss I suggested to lower my sick days, maybe as I cycled to work when the weather was really sh1tty, I could perhaps, work from home for a day or two. Not possible must come into the office, part of team.....roll in 2020 and covid!!! close to 200 days working from home ???? Getting a new roof on our house, building a wall between us and an irritating neighbor, finding some cool new places to eat, surviving a close encounter with a cobras twice, vacation in Ko Chang and surviving the tequila shots at a restaurant there, good crop of cassava, jackfruit tree giving us sweet fruit, mango trees for producing, my wife and her sisters for cooking the best Thai food and building a deck on the house.

I am still 7% from where I was before covid, I took a big 20% hit when covid hit, and clawed back 13% then in August I parked my portfolio in an interest only account to ride out what I thought would be a second wave. The second wave came but it does not seem to be affecting the stock market. I was thinking about going back in but now with the new covid strain I am afraid that if it makes the Vaccines ineffective, the market will tumble again. What you think? PS: I hope like the guy above, you dont wake up after the party and have to reconsider you driving skills .
