I'm giving a friend my old TV.    She lives in an apartment building with no central TV service and she can't afford subscription TV so her only option will be local free digital channels.  Her room has no windows but does have a balcony.

The TV has a digital tuner built in so she won't need a box but she will need some sort of antenna.

On Lazada I see both small outdoor bent tubing types and some advertised as long range indoor antennas. Has anybody had any experience with these kinds of antennas for local digital TV?  Are the indoor types effective within concrete buildings?

She's located not too far from Mega Bang Na so about 15km from central Bangkok.

I don't know is the answer, but, this has come up before on TVF if I remember right, depending on what floor she lives on is an important factor, an unobstructed line of sight to the transmitter would be good, does she have a friend in the building with an antenna similar to what you describe that she could borrow to try out ? And I don't think that they are too expensive either shop bought or online.

Good luck
